CNC Bending? CNC bending is a special bending and drawing process from Spank, which ensures constant and precise production over the entire duration of handlebar production.
MGR (Mechanical Grain Refinement)? MGR (Mechanical Grain Refinement) describes a mechanical process that optimizes the reduction and consistency of different aluminum grain sizes and structures. The result is improved strength, hardness and formability. This step is used, among other things, in the production of Spank rims, handlebars and stems.
XGT? XGT stands for Extreme Gradual Taper. Here, the wall thickness of the handlebar is different at the individual points. Compared to a continuous wall, so much weight can be saved without affecting stability.
Dual XGT? Dual Extreme Gradual Taper describes the further development of the Spank XGT technology. Here, the wall thickness increases once again towards the handlebar end. The handlebar thus gains further stability, especially in the event of falls. Spank calls this area "Impact Ends".
Impact ends? The bar ends are massively reinforced on all available Spank handlebars and thus withstand even heavy falls, tension forces or shocks without suffering major damage.
