The Saturdays x District Vision Takeyoshi biodegradable frame was developed in Japan in an effort to reduce plastic waste in consumer goods. The frame in constructed from a proprietary DV Bio-Tech material and it’s the first time it has been applied to eyewear.
DV Bio-Tech is a biodegradable material made from non-edible plants. Cellulose is a chemical compound extracted from plants and treated to form bio-cellulose. The DV Bio-Tech material is part of a closed loop system, so it’s both biodegradable and recyclable for reuse.
