The PressFit 30 will feature an integrated, pre-mounted seal on the cups to further extend bearing life.
The main difference with the BB30 is how the bearings are embedded in the chassis.
In the PF30 The bearings are housed in nylon cups that will be pressed into the bottom bracket structure. This bottom bracket is designed for 30 mm shaft cranks.
The structures will need a support shell less than 46 mm in diameter internal to accommodate this system. The PressFit 30 for road will require a 68 mm wide case, while the PressFit 30 for MTB will require a 73 mm wide case.
